How to record rock-by-rock shot stats
Rate every shot on the Curling Canada 0–4 scale, track draws, take-outs, rotation and sweeping, and see shot percentages for every player.

Shot percentages used to need a clipboard and a very patient volunteer. In Haxis, anyone with the stats recorder role can rate a game on a phone in real time.
The 0–4 scale
Haxis uses the Curling Canada scale:
| Rating | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 4 | Perfect: the shot was made exactly as called |
| 3 | Made, but not quite as intended |
| 2 | Half the shot was made |
| 1 | Mostly missed, with a little value |
| 0 | A miss |
Sweeping effort is rated 0–4 as well.
Recording a game
- Open the game and tap Record stats.
- If a team has a fifth player or a spare, choose who’s throwing first. You can sub players, go down to three (who throw 3, 3 and 2) or bring someone in mid-game.
- For each rock, in throwing order:
- rate it 0–4,
- pick draw or take-out,
- note the rotation (in-turn or out-turn),
- and the sweeping effort.
- Swipe to the next rock. Haxis saves as you go.
Reading the stats
Once a game is final, everyone can open its stats:
- Player stat lines: each curler’s average and shot count.
- Rock by rock: the whole game, replayed shot by shot.
- Matchup: each of your shots side by side with your opponent’s in the same slot. Leads against leads, skips against skips.
Every curler can also see their own numbers under Profile → My stats: games, shots, overall average and draw vs take-out, for this season or all time.
